Hi! I'm Melanie Wood & I strongly believe God chose me to start this business as another way to minster to ME and through me. I had ZERO idea what a smock was when I was pregnant, but I quickly fell in love with the idea of custom & unique designs! When we moved from FL to GA I connected with a fellow Georgia Southern Alum Abbie, who was already rocking the "smock world" with her little girl Carter. In Florida I was a high school business/marketing teacher and now a stay-at-home-mom (wasn't the original plan) so with Abbie's encouragement, I decided to start a children's clothing line. Heather, my niece, and mother to Westlyn & Wyatt was also a huge part in helping BK launch. And there you have it, Because Kids LLC was born in Nov 2022 with our first preorder in Feb 2023. Each collection is personally designed by myself or mama friends and we hope you love them as much as we do!
